In recent years an additive has been mixed with the water allowing these models (spray water) to be more efficient with improved fire ratings, resulting in smaller and lighter extinguishers.

Our optional Inspection & Service Label includes a dated maintenance label to show that the pre despatch inspection has been completed, this is valid for up to 12 months.

How does it put the fire out?

Water rapidly cools and quenches the fire, so that insufficient heat remains to sustain burning.

The spray water additive is environmentally friendly and as the extinguishers are smaller manufacturers can use less steel to make the unit.
