Deafguard provides a wireless solution for communicating the sounding of a fire alarm to deaf and hard of hearing people when they are asleep.

Deafgard is a portable battery powered unit with a pad attachment that goes under the pillow. The unit is powered by four 1.5v C size batteries with fail to safe dual battery supply (12 month expected battery life). This product also has an alarm clock facility.

How does it work?

When the fire alarm continuously sounds at 75db or above the unit is activated and the pillow pad vibrates, LED lights flash and the LCD screen displays the word ′FIRE′.
