Q: How do I know how many extinguishers I need?
A: Firesafety.uk.com has a unique calculator, which allows you to enter information about your premises, and we will work out the how much equipment you need - please visit our extinguisher calculator now.
Q: Are the fire extinguishers full and ready for use?
A: All our extinguishers are full, checked and sealed with an anti tamper tag. There is also an option to purchase, at an additional cost a pre despatch inspection which means they will have a dated maintenance label to show that the pre despatch inspection has been completed, this is valid for up to 12 months.
All of our extinguishers come ready for use straight out of the box some will just require a hose and/or horn to be attached as they are left off for safe transit. This is very straightforward and full instructions are supplied.

Q: Are the extinguishers kite marked?
A: Our fire extinguishers carry a kite mark to BSEN3 (the European Standard) or equivalent and are all CE marked.
Q: Where are the Fire Extinguishers manufactured?
A: FireSafety.uk.com supports the UK and EU markets where ever possible. All our extinguishers are distributed from the UK. At FireSafety.uk.com we are committed to providing the highest quality equipment at highly competitive prices.
Q: Why are the products so inexpensive? Is it because the quality is poor?
A: No, quite the opposite, all of our products are some of the best quality you will find for sale on the internet. Our buying strategy allows us to pass on low prices which in most cases are lower than the costs that are available within the trade!
Q: Do I need to have my fire extinguishers serviced?
Initial Servicing (Commissioning)
A: BS5306 part 3 2009 recommends that all new fire extinguishers should have an initial service (commissioning) on site immediately prior to installation. A competent person trained or experienced should complete this work.
In addition to the above, current regulations require that all extinguishers require an inspection once a year by a competent person. We recommend you only use a BAFE approved service company (a different scheme from simply selling BAFE approved equipment) employing BAFE approved technicians - ask to see their certification.
Q: Can Firesafety.uk.com service our fire extinguishers?
A: We do not employ service technicians but our equipment can be serviced by any BAFE approved technician. In many cases replacing with new rather than servicing existing equipment can be more cost effective and ensures that you always have the most modern and efficient extinguishers on site.
Q: What about discharge testing does this have to be done every 5 years?
A: Extinguishers should be serviced in accordance with BS5306, this means that they need a discharge test every 5 years or in the case of CO2 extinguishers a pressure test is required after 10 years. Keep our address in your favourites as it is most likely to be more cost effective to purchase new extinguishers than to pay for these often expensive tests especially when you add on the additional parts and labour charges.
Q: What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
A: Please check for damages before you sign for the goods. If any damage is found this must be noted on the courier’s paperwork. Please advise us within 24 hours and we will send replacements and arrange to collect the goods. Please see our full returns and refund policy section for details and terms.
